Homeowner, Josh, was worried about friends and family tripping over the walkway to his front porch. The first few slabs of concrete from the driveway to the front of the home had sunken, causing a significant tripping hazard. We were able to find a solution to Josh's concrete issues. We eliminated the gap between concrete slabs by lifting and leveling the concrete with PolyLevel foam. Using Nexus Pro, we sealed the joints to ensure that water could not ash out the soil beneath the concrete. This will prevent the concrete from sinking in the future. Josh can now rest easy his friends and family won't have any tripping hazards when visiting him at his home!
Tessa and Seth S. are devoted homeowners in Aurora, NE, and were frustrated with the sinking of their concrete steps leading to the front door. The settled concrete created a potential tripping hazard and a pathway for water to rest against the home's foundation. Tessa and Seth wanted the company with the best reputation and permanent solutions, and after meeting with Thrasher they knew they were in good hands.
To begin the concrete project, System Design Specialist Brandon Headrick arrived at the home in Aurora, NE to perform a full inspection on the problematic concrete. Tessa and Seth chose to have Thrasher install our 2-part concrete protection system and utilize our slab jacking technique to return the step to its original state. The repairs began with our PolyLevel concrete lifting foam to permanently level and stabilize the sunken step. It's a lightweight and waterproof foam that protects against soil washout and future sinking. Our NexusPro sealer was then applied to all cracks and control joints to prevent any water infiltration near the home’s foundation. Because of the weight of the front step, we also had to utilize our slab jacking technique to guarantee a proper lift and achieve a perfectly level surface.
Tessa and Seth were amazed by our concrete repair solutions and the efficiency at which our crews operate. They were relieved to have their concrete issues behind them and have a restored peace of mind.
Michelle and James were concerned with the concrete around their pool area. The shallow end is where the little kids played, and the settling concrete slabs were causing a major tripping hazard. They did not want anyone to get hurt! Another primary concern was the concrete settling even more, which could cause issues to their existing underground pool.
They chose Thrasher because they knew the capabilities of the team. To resolve Michelle and James' problem, we utilized PolyLevel foam, NexusPro joint, and crack sealer. We injected foam under the concrete to lift and stabilize it. The NexusPro sealed all the joints and cracks to create a tight surface to ensure water does not get below the concrete.
Michelle and James can now enjoy a worry-free summer next to their pool!
Greg knows he's going to move out of his home in the next few years, so he wants to do some home improvement projects to increase the home value. And he wants to start with the pool. The concrete around the pool was uneven and cracking. He chose Thrasher to repair the pool because we were reasonably priced and he liked that we were honest and upfront about the whole process.
AJ Lavoie visited Greg's home to inspect the pool deck. Upon inspection, AJ found the concrete around the pool had sunken due to the soil being poorly compacted during the building process, which is a typical occurrence with pools. Before we fixed this, we let Greg know that pools are notoriously tricky to lift and level, but if anyone can do it, it's us. We started by lifting the sunken deck slabs with PolyLevel and then applied NexusPro joint sealant to ensure moisture can not enter through the open control joints and cracks.
The final result looked great and we were able to lift the sunken slabs where they were originally. Greg was ecstatic and thought the result was better than he could have ever imagined!
This homeowner noticed some voids in the driveway after bouncing a basketball. After further inspection, they also found some cracks in the corner of the garage and the walkways. System Design Specialist Sheldon Sharp went out to their home and recommended using Nexus Pro Joint and Crack Sealant to fill the voids in the driveway, the walkway, and the garage. There was no longer a tripping hazard and the homeowner was thrilled the garage was filled and had peace of mind it wouldn't crack anymore.
