Christopher A. just purchased his home and plans on living in it for a few years. But he noticed the walkway leading to his front door was a little wonky. The concrete had settled and the steps and front door landing had voids, causing water to pool and potential foundation issues.
Christopher was worried. And didn't want it to get any worse or cause more damage. So he did a quick Google search and found Thrasher. He was impressed with our promise to fix and protect his home and our long-term warranty.
After he reached out and let us know about his problem, we sent System Design Specialist Josh Brown to inspect and develop a plan of action. We decided to lift, level, and fill voids with PolyLevel. Then we used NexusPro caulking to seal the control joints and fix the cracks, which also helps prevent water from washout the soil under the concrete. On top of that, we also buried the downspouts under the sidewalk to prevent future soil erosion in the area and protect his foundation.
Christopher was blown away and thought the Thrasher crews were great and exceeded expectations. Now, Christopher no longer has to worry about his walkway getting worse or causing more damage to his home.
Ben wanted to sell his home. His driveway had deep cracks, and he didn't want that to complicate the sale or deter potential homebuyers. He needed a quick fix in a short timeframe, so he called Thrasher.
Travis Hickman, one of Thrasher's System Design Specialists, went out to Ben's home to see what we were working with. We found Ben's driveway had formed voids in the soil underneath the slab, and that's what was making it crack and settle. To fix we used PolyLevel to lift those slabs and fill in the voids with injected foam.
Ben was pleased with the results and the time frame we got them done.
A gap forming where the garage and driveway meet is a common problem. Since the floor of your garage and your driveway were probably poured at different times, the joint where they connect can often erode overtime. Water can then hang out in the gap and seep into your foundation. On top of that, but every time you pull your car in the garage you can feel it.
That's what this customer was experiencing. But luckily, there's an easy fix. We sent out our System Design Specialist, Caleb Spradlin, to inspect the property. He found that the joint sealant had de-bonded due to settling. He brought out a concrete crew to add more backer rods and replace the sealant with NexusPro.
The joint looks so much better and the customer was happy we could get it done so fast.

Ann and her husband are homeowners in El Dorado, KS, where they plan on living out their future. The appearance of their driveway had bothered them for a long time, and they weren’t sure if it was best to replace it or have it repaired. Before making the decision, they gave Thrasher a call to inspect the cracked and sunken driveway. Our System Design Specialist, Sheldon Sharp, assured Ann that their driveway could be repaired and for a much lower cost than replacing it.
After walking Ann and her husband through the process, they opted to have our crews install our 2-part concrete protection system that consists of our PolyLevel and NexusPro solutions. PolyLevel is positioned first by injecting the concrete lifting foam beneath to fill the voided areas and level the surface. After the concrete is level, our NexusPro sealer is applied to all cracks and control joints to prevent water from infiltrating in the future and causing similar damage.
Ann and her husband couldn’t have been more satisfied with the results of our concrete solutions. Their driveway was now ready to stand the test of time for their forever home in El Dorado, KS.
