Darlene L. is a homeowner in Manhattan, KS, and had watched her front walkway settle severely over the years. With winter right around the corner, she wanted to have the concrete repaired to restore her peace of mind. Familiar with Thrasher and our extensive reputation, she gave us a call to provide our concrete repair solutions.
System Design Specialist Sheldon Sharp arrived at the home in Manhattan, KS, and performed a full inspection of the home’s front walkway. It was determined that soil washout underneath the walkway caused it to sink, making the front step very tall and unsafe. To resolve this, our crews installed our 2-part concrete protection system to lift, level, and seal the settled slabs.
This homeowner in Manhattan, KS, had become concerned with the cracks and settling on her driveway. They didn't water to seep through the cracks and infiltrate the foundation, a problem we often see. After several bids, they chose Thrasher because of our unparalleled professionalism and attention to detail.
Our crews arrived at the home in Manhattan and immediately went to work installing our 3-part concrete protection system. First, our PolyLevel foam was installed by injecting it underneath all uneven areas to permanently lift and level each slab. NexusPro crack filler was then applied to all cracks and joints to seal off the surface and protect against water damage. Lastly, SealantPro was sprayed onto the entire surface to repel water and prevent surface stains.
Longtime homeowner Kevin K. noticed that the driveway and front step concrete was settling and becoming a trip hazard. Worried for his family’s safety, he wanted to get the concrete settlement fixed. He has had previous work done with Thrasher and decided to bring us back out for concrete repair.
We sent System Design Specialist Scott Wyman out to the home. Scott was able to see that the front sidewalk leading up to the home had dropped about 4 inches and spots in the driveway were also sinking and cracking. The soil on the sidewalks and underneath had also washed away. The team used PolyLevel to lift the front sidewalk by 4 inches and fix the driveway. Kevin was impressed with the how well the concrete repair turned out.

Marvin K. loves having his children and grandchildren over. He noticed that the concrete patio was starting to settle, and the brick steps were starting to pull on the siding. Since his family is always over, he wanted to make sure that the concrete or steps didn’t become a trip hazard. He wanted to make sure the work was done correctly, so he gave us a call.
We sent System Design Specialist, Shane McClintic out to Marvin’s home. Shane was able to identify that the concrete patio had settled 2’’ in spots and had also cracked. The brick steps were layered over the top of the concrete patio and started to pull away from the home. The front driveway and front walkway had also started to settle about 2-3’’ inches in a few different areas. We used PolyLevel, Nexus Pro Joint Sealant, and a 2-part concrete protection system to lift, level and protect the space.
