Homeowner Deals with Tripping Hazard in Thornhill, Ontario

We all have that one thing at our home that bothers us, and we’d love to fix. We see it every day, and sometimes we finally get around to dealing with it.

A customer in Thornhill, Ontario, gave us a call to level his front steps. He decided he finally wanted to get rid of the tripping hazard, and after meeting with Project Manager Joe McColl he was excited to have Foreman Kyle McKeown come out to repair his steps.

Kyle used dime-sized holes to inject our high-density polyurethane beneath the slabs. As the polyurethane is injected, it expands beneath the concrete, compressing the fill soils below and leveling the step simultaneously.

The customer is happy he decided to give us a call and deal with his pesky tripping hazard. He’s thrilled with how great it looks and wouldn’t hesitate to use Canadian Concrete Leveling again.

Sinking Concrete Allows Water to Threaten Home's Foundation in Etobicoke, Ontario

Eliminating risks around your home is something we all try to do. Sometimes it’s an easy fix, but other times you need to bring in professional help.

A customer in Etobicoke, Ontario, was concerned about water entering their basement. A sinking concrete walkway allowed water to pool near his home’s foundation, so he called Canadian Concrete Leveling for a solution.

Project Manager Joe McColl was sent out to the customer’s home and completed a thorough inspection. He showed the homeowner our concrete lifting solution, and a date was set for the repair.

Foreman Kyle McKeown used dime-sized holes to inject our high-density polymer beneath the concrete slabs. This lifts the concrete back to the proper grade while compressing fill soils below, preventing the issue from returning.

The customer is pleased with the completed work and is delighted that he no longer needs to worry about improper drainage.

Garage Floor Cracks and Sinks in Toronto, Ontario

Seeing your garage floor fall apart is cause for concern. You instantly start picturing heavy equipment all over your front yard and the expensive bill that goes with new concrete.

A customer in Toronto, Ontario, had several large cracks in her garage floor. She knew he needed the concrete repaired but was hesitant about spending thousands of dollars on a brand-new floor. After hearing about Canadian Concrete Leveling online, the customer was excited to learn about an alternative solution.

Project Manager Joe McColl met with the homeowner and inspected the garage floor. Joe explained that cavities beneath the concrete could lead to sinking since the weight isn’t adequately supported. He showed the customer how our PolyLevel® System works through a demonstration video. He was excited for the repair to happen.

Foreman Kyle McKeown started the installation by drilling dime-sized holes in the concrete to use as injection ports. As PolyLevel® is installed, it expands beneath the floor to lift the sinking sections. The process compresses fill materials that support the floor to prevent the issue from returning.

The customer is delighted that she did some additional research and discovered Canadian Concrete Leveling. He saved thousands compared to pouring a new floor and enjoyed learning about our product.

Large Step Caused Trip Hazard, Toronto, ON

A home in Toronto, Ontario, had a walkway in the front of the house that had sunken. This was causing a trip hazard because the last step was too high. The homeowner found it difficult to step down to the sidewalk from the last step.

The homeowner had mobility issues and was fearful of tripping and falling. They called Clarke Basement System and Ron Monk explained everything that would be done. Bill Mckeown and the Canadian Concrete Leveling Team came in and injected PolyLevel foam beneath the concrete slab to lift and stabilize it. This allowed the sidewalk to be lifted to a level that made stepping from the stairs safer for the homeowner.

Pooling Water Threatens Kids at Daycare in Brampton, Ontario

A daycare is more than just a place for kids to go while they’re parents are busy. Kids learn how to interact with others and enjoy some playtime during their time at daycare too. It’s extremely important that the kids stay safe, and sometimes that requires upkeep outside of normal maintenance.

A daycare owner in Brampton, Ontario, was dealing with sinking concrete right outside of the entrance. Water was pooling there, and whenever the temperatures dropped ice would form.

Looking for a solution to eliminate the chance of ice buildup, the customer reached out to Canadian Concrete Leveling. Project Manager Paul Mendell met with the owner and assessed the situation.

Foreman Kyle McKeown used our PolyLevel® high-density polyurethane to lift the concrete slabs back to their original pour height. PolyLevel® is injected as a liquid and then expands beneath the concrete, lifting the slab while stabilizing the soils beneath.

The daycare owner is thrilled that his establishment is safe once again. The kids can use the walkway without any hazards, and the concrete is protected from further settlement.
