Improper Drainage Threatens Basement in Etobicoke, Ontario

Taking care of our home year-round is crucial in preventing possible structural issues or hazards down the road. No matter what the case is, we must fix any issues sooner rather than later.

A customer in Etobicoke, Ontario, did just that when they reached out to Canadian Concrete Leveling. There was a large gap between their concrete walkway and foundation, allowing water to enter. The concrete step into their house had also settled close to three inches.

Project Manager Joe McColl went to the customer’s home and inspected the property. He showed the customer our solutions, and a date was set for the repair.

Foreman Bill McKeown used our PolyLevel® polyurethane to lift the concrete step, eliminating the tripping hazard. Bill also used our NexusPro® Sealant to fix the gap between the concrete and the foundation.

The customer is happy and has peace of mind knowing their investment is protected.

Etobicoke Hazard and Eyesore, ON

A home in Etobicoke, Ontario, had a walkway that sunk over time and was severely sloping towards the home. The customers were thinking of selling the home but the walkway was both an unsafe hazard and an eyesore. When is rains hard, the water runs towards the foundation, leaving the customer susceptible to a basement leak.

The customer called Canadian Concrete Leveling, and spoke to John DiNicolantonio. He explained everything that would be done and then Billy McKeown came in and fixed the problem. He used our PolyLevel Foam System. It was injected beneath the concrete to lift and level the slabs and to protect them from further settlement.

The customer was extremely happy that we could complete the job in such a short time frame and that we could do so in such a cost effective manner. They were concerned that they would have to replace the the walkway and were very happy that we were able to work with what they already had to fix the problem.

Construction Worker Calls CCL for His Own Home in Toronto, Ontario

When you need a repair at your home, it can be hard to know where to turn. For some, though, they know exactly who to call when the time comes.

A customer in Toronto, Ontario, had a sinking front step at his home. He was a construction worker himself, so he knew exactly the company to reach out to when he noticed the issue. He was already impressed with our solution and met with Project Manager Kyle O’Brien for an inspection.

Kyle walked him through our pricing and options, and the customer agreed that lifting the step with our polyurethane injections was the perfect solution. He was eager to see the repair for himself and booked an installation date with our Production Team.

Foreman Bill McKeown used dime-sized holes as injection ports to install our high-density polyurethane, PolyLevel®. As it’s injected, it expands, lifting the slab back to level grade. Once the repair was complete, Bill patched the holes with fresh concrete.

The customer enjoyed watching the step lift in front of his eyes. He’s confident it will last longer than he’ll have the home and is happy he made the right call.

Walkway Repair Leads to a Successful Driveway in Etobicoke, Ontario

In the world of home repairs, a lot can change when you start tearing things apart. What begins as one repair can quickly turn into a larger job.

A customer in Etobicoke, Ontario, tore up his driveway to have a new one poured when a neighbor pointed out that his side walkway looked sloped. Upon inspection, he realized the entire path had tilted towards the foundation. He wanted the pathway repaired before his new driveway was installed, so he reached out to Canadian Concrete Leveling.

Director of Sales Matt McCullough inspected the walkway and explained how voids beneath the surface cause concrete slabs to sink. Then, he showed the customer a video explaining our PolyLevel® System, which uses expanding polyurethane to lift sinking concrete.

Our Production Department was able to squeeze the job in as soon as possible to stay on track for the driveway installation. Foreman Bill McKeown drilled dime-sized holes in the concrete to use as injection ports. Our 300-ft hose allows us to reach anywhere around a customer’s home without the use of heavy equipment. As the two polymers eject from the hose, they mix, creating an expansion that fills any voids below.

The customer is blown away with the entire process and service received from Canadian Concrete Leveling and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend us to friends and family.
