This can happen because concrete is often poured over recently backfilled soil around a home after construction. Over time, this loose soil settles and creates a void underneath the concrete. The polyurethane foam was injected into the holes. The expanding properties of the polyurethane allow for accurate lifting and leveling of the slab. Now, there are no dangerous tripping hazards outside of the home.
