A resident in West Deptford, New Jersey was experiencing sinking and settling in their concrete patio. This can happen because concrete is often poured over recently backfilled soil around a home after construction. Over time, this loose soil settles and creates a void underneath the concrete. Unlevel concrete has many negative effects because it can be a serious tripping hazard. The homeowner contacted Quality 1st Basement Systems and our System Design Specialist, Javier Hoyos Romero was able to help them with a solution. He suggested a polyurethane foam to level the concrete. Our foreman, Luis Aguirre, used the PolyLevel Injection System underneath the slab by drilling tiny holes into the concrete. The polyurethane foam was injected into the holes. The expanding properties of the polyurethane allow for accurate lifting and leveling of the slab. Now, there are no dangerous tripping hazards outside of the home.
In Mantua, NJ we used our PolyLevel Injections to raise this sinking concrete. PolyLevel will bring the concrete to a raised and level position, eliminating any tripping hazards.
