A pool deck in Framingham, Massachusetts had been slowly sinking since 1971. Over the course of 50 years, settling has caused the concrete to shift, creating tripping hazards and ugly cracks. The homeowner plans on living in the home for a long time and wants to make the pool a safe and attractive looking space. In order to achieve this, he reached out to Erickson Foundation Solutions.
Our Design Specialist, Jim Meglio, recommended installed PolyLevel to stabilize, lift, and level the concrete. Our installation crew injected the polyurethane foam underneath the concrete, filling voids. This instantly lifted the concrete. Our installation crew then positioned the concrete to return it to its original position. Some uneven edges had to be grinded down in order for the concrete to be leveled. With the concrete now stabilized, NexusPro was added to cracks and joints. This protects concrete from further cracking and settling, as well as providing an attractive finish.
The pool area is now safe, aesthetically pleasing, and ready to use for the summer!
A homeowner in Littleton, Massachusetts moved into their new home in 2017. After a couple of years of living in the home, they noticed a crack in their basement that was allowing water in. They decided to call EFS for a free inspection. Our design specialist recommended installing FlexiSpan onto the crack.
Our production team covered the crack with a membrane to collect the water coming from the crack.
This homeowner in Littleton, MA was looking for a solution to lift and level the concrete slabs outside on of their garage doors. The concrete had settled up to 5 inches, making it an unsafe trip hazard, and a huge nuisance when it came to driving the lawn mower in and out throughout the year.
Our team proposed and designed a solution utilizing our PolyLevel product, a polymer foam which is injected beneath the concrete and lifts it back to the desired height. To help control the lift and prevent unwanted cracking, our production team first used some slab jacks to loosen and lift the sunken slabs up a bit. PolyLevel was then injected into the voids beneath the concrete to complete the stabilizing and leveling process.
The 5 inch settlement concern was completely fixed, and the homeowner was incredibly impressed with the results. Tearing out and replacing the concrete would have been a days long process. Instead, PolyLevel solved the problem in a couple hours, and the homeowner was able to use their slab within minutes of the completed repairs.
This homeowner in North Attleboro, MA was concerned with the sloping, aggregate concrete walkway at the front of their home. Near the stairs to the front door landing, from side to side one of the sections was down almost 4 inches. This was a trip hazard for family and guests at the house, and so the homeowner wanted to get it fixed for safety.
Our concrete repair team successfully installed PolyLevel, a polymer foam spray, beneath the sunken areas and were able to raise up the lower sides of the concrete. The process involved no demolition of existing concrete, which meant the homeowner was saving time and money on this project as opposed to having to replace the concrete completely.
With the walkway raised and even, the entrance to this home is safe once again.
