Adam is a homeowner in Sioux City, IA, and he had a growing concern about the amount of water collecting around his pool. He wanted to make sure the concrete around his pool would last and didn’t want the slabs to become even more uneven.
We sent Service Technician Chad Bauder out to Adam’s home. He recommended using PolyLevel and NexusPro Joint Sealant to fix the settling concrete. The crew added more PolyLevel to areas where there was a lot of water collection. Adam was thrilled to know that his pool deck would no longer be uneven!
Homeowner Tonya H. had plans to replace her concrete after major settlement and cracking had happened. She was concerned about water getting through the concrete and entering her basement. After hearing that there were other solutions to saving her concrete, she decided to call Thrasher.
System Design Specialist Jon Young went out to Tonya’s home. He was able to identify that a 2-part concrete protection system would fix the concrete and she didn’t need to go through the hassle of replacing concrete. The crew started with PolyLevel, which was able to lift and level the concrete back up to the original height. Then the crew used NexusPro Joint Sealant to seal and prevent water from entering the joints. Tonya was thrilled with how her concrete looked and how easy this solution was instead of replacing the concrete.
Rori S. takes great pride in how her home looks. She has been dealing with ugly concrete slabs for a while. She had someone she knew attempt to repair them for her and they settled again. She didn't want to spend any more time and money on them and wanted something that will permanently fix the issue making her home look good and maintaining its value
The back patio gets a lot of water and she never wanted to deal with those issues again. We lifted and leveled the areas she was struggling with. On the driveway we put in CompressionGuard to prevent damage from street creep and sealed all cracks in joints to prevent water from saturating the soil.
These homeowners built their home in 1999 and planned for it to be their forever home. But over the last 3-4 years, they noticed slab settlement and separation between control joints, which led to several tripping hazards. With the biggest concern being the ledges between the slabs.
The homeowners called Thrasher to fix it because they had another company come out to do foam and caulking work on the driveway several years ago, but unfortunately their product didn't last as long as anticipated. They had only offered to fix the isolated slabs. But after sending out our System Design Specialist, Britton Wood, to assess the situation, we decided to offer a more comprehensive and wholistic concrete protection system that will prevent the same problem from arising in other parts of their driveway in the future.
After inspecting the concrete, we discovered multiple spots where the control joints were cracked all the way through. Which allowed water to get underneath and widen the gap between the slabs. On top of that, the previous company's foam lifting work had settled again, so we needed to re-lift the slabs and proactively prevent that happening in the rest of the driveway.
With a plan set, our install team came out to their home to start making their driveway look good as new. We used the 2-part Concrete Protection System including PolyLevel foam and NexusPro Joint Sealant. This system helps lift and level settled slabs, stabilizes other slabs, seals the water out of the joints, and repairs any cracks throughout their driveway as well.
The homeowners were so happy their driveway was finally fixed and Thrasher did the project the way it should have been done the first time.
Janet is a homeowner in Lincoln, NE, and was struggling with a major dip in her driveway. Ready to get a long-term solution for the concrete, she decided to call Thrasher and learn more about our concrete repair process.
We sent System Design Specialist Christian out to Janet’s home. Part of her driveway had a large void underneath and that had allowed the driveway to settle. The crew fixed this problem by using PolyLevel to fill the void and lift the settled areas back up. Janet was thrilled with the overall experience!
