An older homeowner in Warren, MI was able to get the help they needed thanks to their adult child. Together, they contacted HomeSpec Waterproofing and Foundation Repair regarding their concrete issues. The homeowner was preparing to sell the house and wanted to ensure there would be no issues during inspections. It was important that they get the maximum property value. HomeSpec sent one of their project managers out to the house for a free inspection and to develop a repair plan.
There were a couple of areas surrounding the home where concrete had sunk and cracked. These issues created steeper steps and tripping hazards. The project manager proposed letting the HomeSpec team use PolyLevel® Injection Foam to raise the concrete to its original position and level the area. Then, they could repair the cracks and joints by using NexusPro sealant. Lastly, the concrete would have SealantPro applied to protect it from the elements. The homeowner agreed to this proposal and planned to have HomeSpec move forward with the project. A PolyLevel foreman, Fred, led a team in this endeavor. Together, they were able to raise the concrete slab the entire height of a brick, making the step less steep and less of a tripping hazard. The homeowner was happy with the final results!
A pair of homeowners in Saint Clair Shores, MI planned to be in their house until it was time to move into a retirement home. Unfortunately, their driveway, garage, and patio all had cracks and were sinking which created tripping hazards. The driveway was so cracked that the concrete slabs appeared as worn out puzzle pieces. The homeowners knew they wanted these issues fixed sooner rather than later, so they contacted HomeSpec Waterproofing and Foundation Repair to get a free estimate.
One of HomeSpec’s project managers, Jeremiah, visited the residence and evaluated the concrete surrounding the home. He measured the dimensions as well as tested how deep a space was under the slabs. He then conversed with the homeowners about a plan to repair everything. Jeremiah shared that the products HomeSpec would use are PolyLevel® Injection Foam and NexusPro sealant. The crew would drill small holes through the concrete so the PolyLevel® Injection Foam reaches underneath the slabs and it would then lift them into place. Once all of the concrete was leveled, then the team would use NexusPro sealant to protect the joints and cracks. The homeowners agreed to this plan and later watched it come to life thanks to teams led by Domonique and Rick. They were happy with the final results!
A homeowner in Roseville, MI decided that enough was enough and it was time to get their driveway fixed. Areas had sunken and plants were growing through the cracks. The unlevel concrete had caused damage to one of their cars. The homeowner wanted to leave the house to their son one day so the property needed this maintenance. They called HomeSpec Waterproofing and Foundation Repair for a free inspection.
The project manager, Noah, looked at all of the concrete on the property and came up with a plan. He explained to the homeowner that the majority of the concrete could be repaired instead of replaced. The sunken slabs could be lifted and leveled using PolyLevel® Injection Foam and the cracks could be sealed using NexusPro sealant. The homeowner approved of this plan and had HomeSpec schedule their crews. Domonique, the PolyLevel foreman, led the lifting and leveling process. Meanwhile, Rick, another foreman, led the process of pouring new concrete in two specific spots. Together, they were able to completely revive the driveway. The homeowner was happy with their work and knew there would be no further issues.
As concrete slabs on sidewalks and driveways shift and settle over time with soil, they can end up separating themselves introducing tripping hazards with gaps. The NexusPro Joint sealant effectively seals these joints, and provides a weatherproof UV-resistant seal that's more reliable than traditional caulking
Concrete is often poured over loose, weak or backfill soil during construction. Over time the soil can settle, shrink in dry condition or soften and wash away completely as water runs down joints and cracks. Here we can see a clear visual comparison at just how effective using a combination PolyLevel and NexusPro crack sealant is. PolyLevel is an expanding polyurethane foam that is injected beneath the concrete to fill the gaps caused by soil erosion and raise and stabilize the concrete surface. After using the PolyLevel system to address the immediate need, our crew would seal cracks and joints in the concrete slabs with NexusPro joint sealant to keep out water that could soften and was away the soil underneath to repeat the problem. Using these two in conjunction, provides a proper solution, that is long lasting and reliable.
