Germantown, Illinois homeowner Marvin was worried about water in his basement. He gave Woods Basement Systems a call. System Design Specialist Sam W. determined the perfect solution for Marvin was the WaterGuard system.
Foreman Jose L. and his crew installed the Waterguard system for Marvin. A partial WaterGuard on the problem walls was the perfect solution because unlike other drainage systems, WaterGuard will never clog. It is specially designed with holes in the back to receive water from beneath, behind, and down the walls as it leaks through the gaps made when the foundation is originally poured.
WaterGuard collects the water and redirects it to the sump pump, where it is pumped away from the home, ending the cycle.
With a partial WaterGuard, we can come back anytime and install the remaining perimeter, if needed.
Marvin can now rest assured his family's belongings are safe an dry in his basement.
Water was leaking down the walls of a basement in Germantown, IL, and pooling onto the floor. To solve this issue, the WaterGuard System was installed. These drainage pipes intercept water at the perimeter of the basement and drain it toward the sump pump system. This system has a design that will drain any wall seepage without allowing dirt and debris from the floor to enter and clog the pipes. This basement will now remain clean and dry for years to come
A basement in Germantown, Illinois, had some waterproofing issues that needed to be addressed. While the owners did have a sump pump from a previous installation, they had water seepage coming in through the window that wasn't making it to the sump to be removed. Woods came out and installed new french drains to collect this water and guide it to the sump pump. The WaterGuard is a specially designed tube system that sits in the floor as to avoid clogging from dirt or debris. It collects the water and directs it to the nearby sump pump to be removed. With this install in place, this basement will stay dry for years to come!
Concrete will crack and basement foundation wall cracks are common. However, if the patched crack reopens or if a wall crack starts leaking, then you have other issues of concern. Is the wall crack due to lateral pressure on the foundation wall (which can cause a bowing wall) or is it from settling stress? In an unfinished area of a basement, another option is BrightWall®. BrightWall® gives the appearance of a finished look, controls a wall crack leak when tied into a basement waterproofing system, and allows for slight movement of the foundation wall. If radon gas is present, a radon mitigation system would be necessary and sealing wall cracks are part of that process.
Customer, Jennifer from Highland, Illinois had flooding issues in her basement after heavy rains. To prevent any further flooding she called Woods Basement Systems to see what could be done. Systems design specialist, Luke K., recommended installing a waterproofing system including a TripleSafe sump pump, WaterGuard, and an IceGuard.
Foreman, Jose L., installed the products. The TripleSafe sump pump is guaranteed to keep your basement dry with its primary pump, secondary pump, and a battery back-up pump. The WaterGuard system collects water as it seeps through the basement walls, guides it to the sump pump, and out of the home. The IceGuard is placed on the outside of the home and is there to allow water to escape the sump pump discharge line in case the pipes freeze or clog, instead of going down into the basement.
Now, Jennifer T. can sleep easy, knwoing she will hava a dry basement when it rains.
