Homeowners in Bethany, IL wanted to replace their basement window well, as it was rising and water was entering it. To solve this issue, the SunHouse Basement Window Enclosure was installed. This system gives an attractive, bright, and clean solution that keeps rain out, prevents weeds from growing inside, and reflects natural light into the basement. It will never rust, rot, or corrode, and will make a dramatic difference inside and outside the home!
After 12 years of dealing with water coming through cracks in the walls every time it rained, this homeowner finally decided to give Woods Basement Systems a call. The old sump pump couldn’t keep up with the large amounts of water, resulting in a flooded basement and nasty overloaded sump pump. Woods installed a TripleSafe sump pump in order to offer complete protection for the homeowner. The three-pump system gives the area a clean look and more importantly, keeps the basement dry - resulting in a happy homeowner who can rest assured that in the next heavy rain the sump has the triple power to get the water out!
Daniel K. of Shelbyville, Illinois had water leaking into his basement, so he decided to call Woods BAsement Systems for help. Systems design specialist, Luke B. was able to find a solution and recommended installing a Twin Pack sump pump and WaterGuard.
Foreman, Joshua B. installed the products. The Twin Pack sump pump is a pair of stainless steel pumps used to protect your home against flooding and leaks. WaterGuard is placed in the perimeter of the basement floor and it works to collect water that seeps through basement walls. It then guides that collected water to the sump pump where it can be removed from the home.
Now Daniel K. has a dry basement.
This home in Altamont, IL. was experiencing water leaks through the tiny gap between the foundation walls and the floor. Although they had a sump pump to remove water in the home, the homeowners needed a perimeter drainage system to collect the leaks and direct them to the sump pump.
The best system for them was WaterGuard™. WaterGuard™ is a specially designed perimeter drainage system that gets installed directly on top of the footing just beneath the floor. Because it is on top of the footing, WaterGuard™ stays clear of the mud that surrounds the footing. Since it is out of the mud, WaterGuard™ doesn't need filter fabrics, which can clog and make other systems ineffective over time. WaterGuard™ will collect water as it rises above the footing, redirecting it to the sump pump before it can rise above the surface of the floor.
WaterGuard™ was installed along the walls around the existing sump pump and drained into the sump pit. This way, WaterGuard™ was able to work with existing waterproofing systems to keep the basement dry and protected.
Concrete is a heavy material and so are the vehicles, machinery, and structures that concrete slabs and footings are expected to support. Sometimes, the combined weight of concrete and what it supports causes concrete settlement to occur. The soil beneath the concrete compresses and can cause major problems.
This can cause problems at your home as well. Uneven sidewalks, walkways, and steps can cause tripping, and sunken driveway slabs can make parking your car in the garage quite a challenge. PolyLevel® is designed specifically to repair this type of problem in Decatur, Ballwin, Belleville, Champaign, St. Peters, Saint Louis and neighboring areas.
