Alan and Sheila N. of Crossville, IL was concerned about their basement walls getting damaged by mold from water seepage during heavy rains. System Design Specialist Sam W. understood their needs and recommended BrightWall panels and installing a WaterGuard perimeter drainage system. BrightWall not only greatly enhances the appearance of the basement, but it also has waterproofing qualities and redirects wall seepage to flow into the WaterGuard. Foreman Greg H. and his crew installed these effective systems and now Alan and Shelia can enjoy their newly transformed basement!
Basement wall cracks like this one in Sullivan, Illinois allow water to leak in and potentially flood a basement. Woods Basement systems installs our wall crack repair system to seal the crack and prevent further leakage.
This Windsor, Illinois basement had experienced massive amounts of water leaks and needed a solution to prevent water damage. Team Woods installed BrightWall panels to clean and protected the leaky walls. These panels are water-resistant which means that they won't produce mold. Along with the BrightWall panels, a WaterGuard drainage system was installed in the footing of the basement to collect the water leaks and direct it to the sump pump to be pumped out of the basement.
This home in Albers, IL. had a section of the home that sat over a basement and a section of the home that sat over a crawlspace. Both of these areas can present unique challenges for waterproofing a home.
The crawlspace had a dirt floor that allowed water vapor to rise up into the underside of the home where it could weaken the wooden floor joists and feed mold throughout the home. The basement walls had cracks that allowed water to leak in through the wall where it could collect on the floor and cause damage or evaporate into the air and make the basement feel damp and uncomfortable.
To fix this, foreman Jose L. started by encapsulating the crawlspace with CleanSpace™ liner. CleanSpace™ is a super durable and mold resistant waterproofing liner that covers the floor and most of the walls of the crawlspace to prevent any water or water vapor from entering the area. With CleanSpace™ installed, the crawlspace would be kept dry and protected from potential water leaks that come from below ground.
Woods Basement Systems encapsulates an Illinois homeowner's crawl space with a CleanSpace vapor barrier, a SmartSump Pump and a SaniDry dehumidification unit. The CleanSpace vapor barrier is a durable liner with a factory sealed seam, which ensures zero moisture penetration. The CleanSpace vapor barrier includes brown dimpled sheeting that allows any water to migrate quicker to the SmartSump pump. The SmartSump Pump comes with a radon approved floor drain and a water alarm that will sound if there were ever a water leak. Lastly the SaniDry dehumidification unit will pull the moisture out of the air and drain directly to the SmartSump.
