To solve this issue, WaterGuard™ was installed to collected any water that entered the basement. This system sits on top of the soil to prevent clogging. Next, a sump pump was used to discharge the collected water away from the basement. With these systems in place, the homeowner can rest easy knowing their basement will remain dry and in great shape. 

A sump system in Pesotum, IL was failing, not pumping water out as it should. It also had no lid, releasing moisture into the basement. To solve these issues, the WaterGuard System was first installed. These drainage pipes intercept water at the perimeter of the basement and drain it toward the TripleSafe Sump Pump System, which will drain water from WaterGuard and below the basement and discharge it out of the house. This sump system assures protection from all three problems that can occur with an ordinary pump. It can handle a heavy flow of water, thanks to a second pump that will help eliminate the water if the first pump can't keep up. It also features a removable airtight lid which reduces noise, prevents objects from falling in, and keeps moisture, insects, and odor from coming out of the sump. This basement will remain dry and clean for years to come!

As part of that solution, Foreman Greg H. installed IceGuard. IceGuard is installed to the exterior discharge line. It provides an exit for water in the event that the line becomes frozen during our cold Midwest winters.
