Linda and Peter G. ad major water issues in the basement of their Gifford, IL home. Their belongings were getting water damaged every time it rained so they called Woods Basement Systems. Woods recommended installing a full perimeter waterproofing system.

As part of the waterproofing system, WaterGuard was installed under the concrete floors, as shown in the picture. WaterGuard is a drainage system that sits on the concrete footing of the basement so it won't become clogged by mud as it collects water from the foundation floors and walls and drains it away to the sump pump.

Also seen in the picture is a TrenchDrain. TrenchDrains are grated drainage pipes that sit flush with the floor and tie in to the WaterGuard system. They collect surface water that may get in through doors or stairs.

A basement wall was leaking in Gifford, IL, and this was causing issues because the water was pooling onto the floor. To solve this issue, the WaterGuard System was installed. These drainage pipes intercept water at the perimeter of the basement and drain it toward the sump pump system. This system has a design that will drain any wall seepage without allowing dirt and debris from the floor to enter and clog the pipes. Next, the TripleSafe Sump Pump System was installed. This system assures protection from common problems with an ordinary pump. The TripleSafe can handle a heavy flow of water, thanks to a secondary pump included inside that will help eliminate the water if the first pump is unable to keep up with the amount of water that is entering it. It also features a removable airtight lid which reduces noise, prevents objects from falling in, and keeps moisture, insects, and odor from coming out of the sump. This system also includes an UltraSump battery backup system which turns on if the power goes out and effectively pumps out the water. Thanks to these systems, this basement will remain dry and clean for years to come!

Recently, rainwater would leak onto the basement floor at the floor/wall joint, destroying the floors and walls. They decided it was finally time to get their wet basement fixed once and for all and made a call to Woods Basement Systems. Foreman Michael D. and his team installed WaterGuard around the perimeter of the basement walls. This system will capture water at the joint before it can reach the basement floors and send it out of the home. Once the system was installed, Melissa was happy knowing their basement would stay dry for years to come.

A sump pump was failing to run when the power went out in a basement in Bridgeport, IL, so the UltraSump Battery Back-Up Pumping System was installed. This will come in handy if the power goes out in the future. It will also automatically turn on if the primary pump fails to run. This will provide reliability and restore peace of mind for years to come!
