This homeowner was looking to protect their basement from water damage and improve their drain system. Design Specialist Mac M. from Woods Basement Systems recommended the ideal drainage solution after giving the homeowner a free estimate.
Team Woods installed WaterGuard drain systems to remove unwanted water from the home. Installed under the floor slab, WaterGuard is a French drain system designed to provide effective drainage with a clean, minimal appearance.
Water was entering a basement in Chrisman, IL so a TripleSafe Sump Pump System was installed to pump this water out. This system assures protection from all three problems that can occur with an ordinary pump. It can handle a heavy flow of water, thanks to a second pump that will help eliminate the water if the first pump can't keep up. This system also includes an UltraSump battery backup system which turns on if the power goes out and effectively pumps out the water. It also features a removable airtight lid which reduces noise, prevents objects from falling in, and keeps moisture, insects, and odor from coming out of the sump. This basement will remain dry and clean for years to come!
This building in Hoopeston, Illinois has bowing walls which the occupants attempted to repair using caulk which does not fix a bowing wall problem, it merely covers it until it gets worse. Woods Basement Systems diagnosed the bowing walls and installed an anchor system to not only stop the walls from bowing in further but also to return the walls to their original shape.
Rossville, Illinois homeowner Rebecca was troubled by water leaking into her basement. System Design Specialist Luke B. inspected her home and designed a solution to keep her basement dry. Part of the problem was that her gutters drained right at the foundation of her home. This increase in water pressure in the soil caused the water to force its way through her poured foundation.
Foreman Juan H. and his team waterproofed the basement by installing WaterGuard, TwinPack, and IceGuard. IceGuard is pictured. It is installed to the exterior discharge line to provide an escape for water in the event that the lines become frozen or clogged. Juan and his team also extended the discharge line away from her home.
With these solutions, Rebecca's basement is dry and will stay dry.
