We were contacted by the owner of the business to get a job taken care of in a very quick time frame, as they were doing an entire building remodel and wanted to be open by a certain time this year. In order for any of the other teams working on this project to be able to start their work, we had to install our waterproofing systems first. More importantly, the work we performed needed to be done quickly as the area is going to be used for a meat locker and any and all water or moisture needed to be removed before they could start using it for storage.
We ended up installing FlowGuard which runs around the perimeter to our sump pump, as well as CleanSpace in order to mitigate any water that would penetrate the building. By installing these systems we will be able to collect any water that makes its way in and divert it to the sump pump and ultimately out of the building
During the digging process our foreman noticed that a white slurry was coming into the building and for a while could not figure out what it was. Upon further researched he realized it was watered down paint that was coming in from the painters outside power washing the building to paint it. From this occurrence, we know that they will greatly benefit from the installation of FlowGuard, CleanSpace, and our sump pump system to keep their meat locker water-free.
These homeowners contacted Basement Systems of New York to see what could be done about the issues they were having with excessive moisture throughout the entirety of their crawl space and home, an excessive amount of heat loss, and a small foundation issue. With all these problems coupled together, their home was inefficient as well as cold.
In order for us to take care of the issues at hand for these homeowners, we installed several of our patented products, more specifically our CleanSpace crawl space encapsulation material with drain matting, 3" of R-21 Closed-cell spray foam on the exterior of the crawl space walls and box beam, and finally two SmartJack foundation stabilizers across the main girder.
Since completing this project these homeowners have noticed several things that have drastically changed such as the humidity level of their crawl space and home has dropped drastically, their HVAC system has not been having to work as hard as before and their home has been so much more comfortable, and that their home is now once again structurally sound with no more bouncing floors.
We received a phone call from a concerned home owner looking to resolve an issue with what he called "A Nightmare Crawlspace". He expressed being concerned about the energy efficiency and unhealthy environment of his home. After a free evaluation our certified professionals replaced all his moldy fiberglass with spray foam insulation and sealed his crawlspace with our 25 year warrantied CleanSpace crawlspace liner.
The home owner is very pleased and now has a storage area instead of a nightmare.
The customer called us to resolve a water problem in their rock crawlspace.
We installed our Super Sump Pump and encapsulated their crawlspace as well. Now they are able to enjoy their dry crawlspace and live in a healthy home environment.
We installed a CleanSpace Vapor Barrier System at the homeowners request.
When the homeowners came by to take a look, they were so pleased with the results they happily sat down and posed for the picture with our team.
