This homeowner in Northville wanted to refresh the look of their basement as well as protect it from any water coming in. Our team installed our ZenWall system as well as ThermalDry Basement Flooring to not only keep the space looking beautiful but waterproof as well.
Here’s a great look at the different our EverLast windows can make! Strong windows are very important for the health of a basement because if they’re in bad condition, filled with gaps and rotted wood, then water, bugs, and other critters can easily get in; and inversely, heat has no problem escaping. All these issues mean trouble for your home and your pocket because you will end up losing money over time if you choose not to upgrade the windows. Heat bills will go up, water repairs will be a constant necessity, and exterminators aren’t cheap, either. Our EverLast windows are custom-made for your home, meaning they’ll always be a perfect fit, not giving room for anything to get in our out through cracks or gaps. These windows are a great insulator and a perfect choice when making the move for an upgrade. And, on top of all the protection they provide, the windows also provide a updated, clean look to your home!
A homeowner in Delmar, NY contacted us looking to turn her basement into a clean dry space that she could use as an office and library. One of our basement finishing specialists met with the homeowner and went over all of the possible options she had to make the space her own. The homeowner decided on our ThermalDry flooring, CleanSpace vapor barrier, Zen Wall, Sanidry Sedona, and EverLast Windows.
She chose ThermalDry Sandstone tile for the flooring- a product that is inorganic and protects from moisture/mold and a cold basement floor. CleanSpace vapor barrier was used to protect the walls from moisture and mold. Zen Wall was used in some areas to help insulate the walls and provide a clean look. The Sedona was installed to control humidity levels and remove any excess moisture from the space while filtering the air. Lastly, the EverLast Windows provided new clean windows that would help with heat loss and prevent water seepage, bugs and the like from entering the basement.
This particular job called us with concerns of water leaking into her basement after heavy rainstorms. In the before photo, you can see just how much this rain was really affecting the basement, causing the wall and floor to look dirty. We installed our WaterGuard drainage system, along with our TripleSafe Sump Pump System. This system keeps your basement dry with three levels of protection, in case the water ever rises past the first main pump, or if your power ever goes out. Your basement won't flood with this system put into place. Now, she can put her stuff back into the basement again without having them getting wet.
This Delmar Basement had a lot of pipes and tanks to work through, but our team was able to seamlessly install CleanSpace to keep things dry!
