This homeowner from Piscataway, NJ was worried about the sinking walkway leading up to her house. The gap caused by the settled concrete had created a trip hazard. The homeowner was concerned about falling on her way to her house and was in search of a solution to fix hre sinking concrete without replacing it. Quality 1st Basements came to help by lifting up the sunken slab with PolyLevel foam, which was strong enough to lift and stabilize the heavy slab. Due to the soil shifting beneath the surface of this concrete porch in Parsippany, NJ it began to sink and settle. The homeowner noticed it was beginning to become a trip hazard to them and to those visiting their home. Our Concrete Repair Specialist, Jeff P., measured the settlement and quoted the job. System Design Specialist, Kenny T, inspected this sinking patio area in the Parsippany area of New Jersey. Multiple slabs had settled and needed to be raised back to level. The homeowner did not want to disrupt his neighbors or the surrounding area with replacement and so raising the concrete was the only alternative.

A resident in Northfield, New Jersey was dealing with a very unlevel and sinking concrete patio. This happens because concrete is often poured over recently backfilled soil around the home. Over time, this soil settles and creates voids under the concrete. A patio like this can be dangerous because of tripping hazards. The homeowner contacted Quality 1st Basement Systems and our System Design Specialist, Joe Mancini, helped them with a plan to fix this issue. He suggested a polyurethane foam to fill the voids under the concrete. Our foreman, Victor Leon, injected the PolyLevel System by drilling tiny holes in the concrete slab, and injecting the foam into the void. The foam has expanding properties and allow for lifting and leveling of the slab. The homeowner can enjoy their patio without worrying about tripping hazards.
