This pool deck in Middletown, NJ had unlevel concrete slabs, making it difficult to walk on and easy to trip. Quality 1st Basements was able to lift and level the homeowner's concrete and keep it secure with PolyLevel solution. Water was kept out of the newly renovated slabs by sealing cracks with NexusPro Sealant, and making for a nice, clean finish.
A resident in Middletown, New Jersey noticed that their concrete stairs had been sinking. This occurrence can happen because of erosion of soil under the slab. As water runs through the cracks and joints in the concrete, it washes the soil out. These voids cause the concrete to shift and settle, which in turn create uneven surfaces and tripping hazards.
The homeowner called Quality 1st Basement Systems and our System Design Specialist, Jeff Pitek, helped them with a solution. Our Quality 1st Basement System foreman injected PolyLevel Injection System, which is a system that permanently lifts and stabilizes the sinking concrete. This is done by drilling small, penny-sized holes into the slab, and then injecting the polymer foam into the void. The slab is then lifted back into place, and the homeowner does not need to worry about dangerous tripping hazards.

Before and after sinking concrete in Middletown, NJ. We used our PolyLevel Injections to bring the concrete back to a raised position. Look at the difference! This entire area was sinking and settling due to the soil underneath the slab. When soil becomes either too wet, dry or is poorly compacted it causes to the soil to become weak and can no longer support the weight of the slab. PolyLevel fills the voids between the soil and the slab, raising it back towards its original level.
