The soil underneath a slab can become too wet or too dry causing it to weaken where it can no longer support the weight of a heavy sidewalk slab causing it to sink and creating a trip hazard. Quality 1st Basement Systems removed the trip hazard outside of this home in Staten Island by lifting and leveling the concrete slabs back toward their original position. Our team used PolyLevel, a light weight, waterproof and environmentally friendly foam. PolyLevel expands underneath the slab to raise the concrete back to level. Once leveled, the PolyLevel foam hardens to permanently stabilize the slab and remove the trip hazard.
