Waterproofing a Previously Flooded Basement, Nashua, NH

A homeowner in Nashua, New Hampshire had a lot of her belongings ruined after her basement flooded. This was a result of her existing sump pump failing. Without a working waterproofing system in place, this homeowner reached out to Erickson Foundation Solutions in search of a permanently dry basement.

After conducting a free home inspection, our Design Specialist recommended installing WaterGuard perimeter drainage and a TripleSafe sump pump system in order to waterproof the basement. This waterproofing system keeps the basement dry all the time by intercepting water along the border of the foundation footing and diverting it to a basin, where the TripleSafe sump pump system then pumps it out of the home. Our installation crew installed the WaterGuard drainage system along the entire perimeter of the basement, ensuring that water would be captured along every inch of the foundation. Once cemented in place, it is barely even noticeable. After the basin is dug out, the TripleSafe sump pump system is installed. Our three-pump system, including our battery backup pump, guarantees that your sump pump system will never fail! An interior drainage line was attached to the TripleSafe, which was then connected to an exterior drainage line that went out of the home. This allows the water to safely exit the basement.

With this waterproofing system in place, the homeowner finally has the peace of mind that she was looking for!

Finished Basement Waterproofing, Nashua, NH

A homeowner from Nashua, New Hampshire has consistently experienced leaks in his finished basement. The carpet gets damp and creates an uncomfortable living space, especially since the basement is his workspace. This has also raised mold concerns. Looking for peace of mind, the homeowner reached out to Erickson Foundation Solutions.

We recommended installing WaterGuard perimeter drainage and our TripleSafe sump pump system to waterproof the basement. This waterproofing system intercepts water along the entire border of the foundation and pumps it safely out of the home. Our crew installed this system by first chipping out concrete along the perimeter of the basement. This allowed space for the WaterGuard system to be put in place. Simultaneously, a basin was created for the TripleSafe sump pump system to sit in. Once debris from the chipping were removed, the WaterGuard and TripleSafe were put into place on top of crushed stone. They were then cemented into the foundation. An exterior drainage line was then added to the sump pump system. This plumbing allows the sump pump to dispose the water outside of the home. IceGuard was added to that plumbing to prevent pipes from freezing in extreme temperatures.

With all these systems in place, a waterproofed basement has been created. After going through the final walkthrough with the homeowner, he was thrilled that he finally has a clean and dry workspace!

Flooded Finished Basement, Nashua, NH

A homeowner from Nashua, New Hampshire had his finished basement ruined after the basement flooded. Water made its way through the foundation, ruining walls, floors, and personal belongings. Wanting to repair the living space, this homeowner knew he had to start by waterproofing the basement.

Anthony Brancato, one of our Design Specialists, went out to the home to provide a free inspection. He recommended installing WaterGuard perimeter drainage and our TripleSafe sump pump system. This waterproofing system collects water at the perimeter of the basement and delivers it to the sump pump, which then pumps the water out of the home through an exterior drainage line. Our crew chipped out concrete to create a basin for the sump pump to sit in, and along the foundation border for the WaterGuard system. Once these systems were installed, they were cemented into place. The exterior drainage line was then installed and buried in a safe location outside of the home. Our IceGuard mechanism was installed to the exterior drainage line to prevent freezing, eliminating the risk of another flood.

With all systems in place, a waterproofed basement has been created. The homeowner can now rebuild his finished basement with peace of mind that the basement will stay dry.

The WaterGuard system is installed along the perimeter of the foundation to collect water before being exposed to the basement walls or floor, and then diverting it to the sump pump.
