Paul's sidewalks around his home were settling, even though the concrete was only three years old. Not only did he not like the way it looked, but he was also concerned about water finding its way into his basement. He had heard good things about Thrasher, so he decided to give them a call. System Design Specialist, Nate Smith, went out to Paul's home to see what was going on with his concrete. Upon inspection, Nate found that Paul's sidewalks were settling towards the house, with some places settled over 3 inches.
To fix this, we decided to use PolyLevel to lift and level the settled concrete and then went in with NexusPro to seal the cracks. Paul was more than pleased with the final result and thought it would never look as good as it did in the end.
Frustrated with the appearance of their driveway, this McCook, NE homeowner gave Thrasher a call to see if there was a possible repair solution. They have been long-time Thrasher customers, weren’t aware that we also specialize in concrete. Our System Design Specialist Daniel Hilkmann arrived at the home and performed a thorough inspection of the concrete around the property.
The customers opted to have our team install the 2-part concrete protection system to permanently lift, level, and seal the concrete’s surface. Our PolyLevel concrete lifting foam is installed first beneath the slab to create a level surface. The NexusPro is then used to caulk all the cracks and control joints to waterproof the surface and prevent future damages.
The homeowner was thrilled with the outcome of our concrete repair solutions. With the price of concrete so high now, our concrete protection system relieved the customer and restored their peace of mind. We’re fortunate to have the opportunity to continue providing different services to homeowners like these.
Homeowner Ed S. was growing concerned about his concrete. He has been noticing that the stoop is settling and sinking away from his home. Looking for concrete raising solutions, he gave Thrasher a call.
Service Technician Andrew Davis went out to Ed’s home. He was able to identify that to stop the concrete from settling and moving away from the home, the cracks needed to be closed. We started with lifting the settled concrete with PolyLevel, bringing it back up to the original level. Then to close the joints and cracks, we applied NexusPro Joint Sealant. Ed was happy to know the concrete was taken care of and pleased with the quality of work from the crew.
We met with a family in Pleasant Hill that was concerned with unlevel concrete in their driveway. They didn't want anybody to trip over it. Our System Design Specialist went out to the home and gave them a free quote. They decided to go through with the work and we made an appointment to come out and fix their driveway.
When our production team got to their home, we began the process of fixing their driveway by first drilling a tiny hole where the high density polymer would be injected. This high density polymer, PolyLevel, is what is used to raise the slabs. The outcome was great; their driveway is now level!
Returning customers Jessica and Chris J’s back patio and front sidewalk were starting to sink. Water was starting to pool on their back patio and with a young daughter, they wanted a safe spot for her to play. Having had previous concrete repair done with us, they decided to give us another call.
System Design Specialist, Dan King came out and was able to identify the problem. The water was pooling because the soil under the rest of the patio was making it go in all different directions. The control joints expanded the slab openings and allowed water to easily access the soil.
We were able to fix the concrete in the back and front by using PolyLevel to level and stabilize the patio and front step. We then used Nexus Pro to fill in all of the control joints and cracks to prevent water from entering again.
