In a couple of weeks, our Design Specialist, Brad W., arrived at the home to answer any questions the homeowner had and to conduct a thorough inspection of the concrete. During his inspection, he explained to the homeowner that one of the common causes of settling concrete slabs is soil washout. When it rains or floods, water moves through the ground and washes away the supporting soils. For this reason, Brad recommended our PolyLevel to lift the walkway and steps, and NexusPro, to seal the joints and repair the cracks that have formed. In about a month, our Foreman, Patrick B., and his crew arrived at the home for the installation. They began by drilling small holes into the slab and installing the injection ports. PolyLevel is then injected, expanding beneath the slab and filling in the gaps in the soil. Once the slab has been lifted, the crew ensures it is even before sealing the holes with cement. Lastly, the crew uses NexusPro to seal the cracks and joints along the walkway. After the crew was done with the installation, they cleaned up their equipment and left the home.
