A homeowner from Rochester, MN, had noticed a few areas of his concrete walkway and driveway were sinking, creating large trip hazards. He didn't want to wait for the problem to worsen, so he began to look for Rochester concrete repair. When she found our website, she was impressed with our concrete repair before and after images. She scheduled her FREE estimate, and several weeks later, Adam V, one of our Design Specialists, headed out to the home.
Adam got right to work inspecting the area, and when he finished, he informed the homeowner that we could save the sinking concrete with the help of our PolyLevel injection. Adam explained that PolyLevel is a dense polyurethane foam that expands when its injected beneath concrete slabs. It works to fill voids left over by soil erosion and, in the process, lifts the sunken slabs back into place. Adam went on to say that he recommended safeguarding the lift with the help of our NexusPro. This silicone-based sealant gets installed directly to the cracks and joints in the newly lifted concrete, and serves as a barrier, as it's specifically designed to stand up against harsh weather conditions. The homeowner liked the idea of a non-invasive fix, and scheduled his job on the spot.
On the day of the project, our Foreman, Jordan S, and his team were able to complete the lift and seal with no issues. Now, our customer can rest easy knowing his trip hazards have been handled!
A homeowner in Rochester, MN, noticed that his back walkway had begun sinking causing an uneven platform with a risk of tripping. Because he often had people coming over, he decided to have the issue addressed before it got worse by asking his family if they knew any good contractors in the area. He was recommended American Waterworks and he soon contacted us to schedule his FREE estimate.
In a couple of weeks, our Design Specialist, Brad W., arrived at the home to conduct a thorough inspection of the walkway and to answer any questions the homeowner had. During his inspection, he explained to the homeowner that one of the common causes of sinking concrete is soil washout. When it rains or floods, water moves through the ground, washing away the support soils holding up the concrete slabs. Over time, gaps and voids are created in the soil causing the slab to sink. For this reason, Brad recommended PolyLevel, a high-density poly foam formula that is designed to lift and level concrete. The homeowner happily agreed and scheduled a date for the installation.
In about a month, our Foreman, Jordan S., and his crew arrived at the home to carry out the installation. They began by drilling small holes into the slabs and inserting the injection ports. PolyLevel is then injected beneath the slab, filling in the empty gaps in the soil. Once the slabs have been lifted, the crew ensures it is at the desired level before sealing the holes with cement. After the crew was done with the installation, they cleaned up their equipment and left the home.
