Comment: The back part of my house was an old garage that has been converted into a mud room and bedroom by previous owners. They had a sunken deck on the back part of this building. I have been in the process of replacing the deck and adding drainage to the house. There has been a large crack in the slab since I bought the house. I have noticed it getting bigger over the years. When I removed the sunken deck, I noticed that the slab was not touching the wood from the walls. I also notice that mud was packed into the the gap. I checked the floor with my level and it has at least a quarter inch slope. Not sure if your process can correct the situation or not.
