Concrete starts out strong, rigid, and weighty, making it a great material for residential patios and driveways to warehouse floors. Over time, the level soil underneath the concrete begins to shift with changes in the moisture content in the ground. Soil movement causes voids under the concrete and because concrete is heavy, it starts to sink. Because it’s rigid and inflexible, it starts to crack. Soil movement occurs in a variety of ways, including:
Soil movement is bound to occur, but the damage sunken concrete leaves behind doesn’t have to be permanent. Trusted concrete leveling solutions can easily help resolve such issues.
Mudjacking, also called slab jacking, is a well-known technique for lifting uneven concrete to a level position. Compared to using foam to lift and level concrete, mudjacking has several drawbacks that San Marcos homeowners should know. One major disadvantage is that mudjacking doesn’t address the underlying causes of sunken concrete. It's also messy and disruptive and often damaging to property and landscaping.
Let an expert PolyLevel® concrete lifting contractor serving San Marcos, TX help you repair your sinking concrete slabs before they worsen. Your concrete patio, floor, or walkway will be ready to use and look as good as new in no time! Book a free concrete leveling estimate today.

Comment: One corner of a vacant house I am fixing up has settled 2.2 inches up to 4.2 inches.
Project Location: San Marcos, TX 78666
Comment: I have a six panel sidewalk that has multiple locations that it has dipped 4 inches or more making a bunch of high points and low points.
Project Location: San Marcos, TX 78666
Comment: There is a void that has formed under our front walk way. The walk way is currently intact with no cracks but the void has allowed water to drain into the crawl space under the house. The walk way is about 3' wide and 25' long and the gap appears to be about 4" high at the end we opened up but is at least a foot deep where it washed out near the retaining wall for the crawl space. We have been looking at replacing the walkway but since it is not currently damaged would like to see if the PolyLEVEL would be a better solution.
