Water pooling can be seen on the floor, along with mold growth on the beams and walls.
"The first layer is designed to redirect water infiltration toward the sump pump, where it is collected and then directed outside of the crawlspace.
Typically, if a crawlspace has not been adequately insulated, water vapor will increase the moisture levels inside the area, leading to the proliferation of mold.
The soil was exposed in multiple parts, and the encapsulation material was torn in multiple spots.
This system safely redirects the water collected from inside the crawlspace to the outside, ensuring that it is discharged far enough away to prevent any exacerbation of the hydrostatic pressure that the foundation walls may already be experiencing.
In challenging scenarios with just 25 inches of height to work within the crawlspace, these specialized jacks provide sturdy support for weakened crawlspace beams, ensuring a lasting solution for sagging floors.
It's important to encapsulate crawlspaces and use dehumidifiers to prevent moisture issues, mold growth, and other potential problems that can arise from high humidity in these spaces.
We dug out a portion of the cement slab to make room for the water guard. We made sure not to drill all the way to the soil underneath.
