Concrete starts out durable, rigid, and weighty, making it a great material for residential patios and driveways to warehouse floors. Over time, the level soil underneath the concrete begins to shift with changes in the moisture content in the ground. Soil movement causes voids under the concrete and because concrete is heavy, it starts to sink. Because it’s rigid and inflexible, it starts to crack. Soil movement occurs in a variety of ways, including:
Soil movement is bound to occur, but the damage sunken concrete leaves behind doesn’t have to be permanent. Trusted concrete leveling solutions can easily help resolve such issues.
Mudjacking, or slab jacking, is a concrete leveling solution that requires the demolition and replacement of an entire slab of concrete, a procedure that is time-consuming and expensive, not to mention disruptive to the property. PolyLevel® two-part foam expands instantaneously upon injection beneath a settled slab. The injection holes that our contractors drill through the slab are small and much less noticeable than those required for a typical mudjacking procedure. During the injection process, PolyLevel® expands many times its original volume and gains density, forcing the sunken concrete back to its initial level. It takes only a matter of minutes for the polymer to expand and reach more than 90% of its firmness!
If you notice your concrete starting to crack or settle, don’t wait for it to get worse! Call your PolyLevel® concrete leveling expert serving Summerville, SC and nearby towns. To permanently lift and restore your concrete, schedule a free estimate today!

Comment: I had to remove my back deck (which was improperly built before bought the house) and the patio slab below pools with water in certain spots during rain. The pooling is significant enough that I can't use the patio. There are no visual uneven sections like in some of your pictures I see, but I wanted to see if this is an option and get a quote for repair. Thank you.

Comment: 10'10" X 11'11 slab has dropped 3-4" and sits below water during rainy weather. 2 sides are against the house and have dropped 1" or less. 2 opposing sides are against a mulch bed and are visibly below ground level. Any water from weather, sprinklers etc. Collects in that corner and brings the mulch with it. When the water drains the mulch remains, sometimes covering 2/3 of the slab. Collecting estimates for repair. Thank you
