the original call was a bit to "sales-ey" , but there was good information given during the presentation concerning the plans. I would have like to have been asked if i would have liked to have seen the presentation before it was given. The sales person and installation crew did show up at the appropriate times and appeared to do a quality job while making sure to keep everything else in the house free and clear of any dirt. The initial installation crew did not do the work correctly, and we ended out having a problem. The second installation crew has supposedly fixed the issue (of course time will tell). To their credit (and what should sell you on this company) was the fact that they openly admitted that the first crew did not do the job correctly. Instead of selling additional services, they simply admitted to the mistake, honored their warranty and re-repaired the issue. Thats easy for me say, since there was no additional damage due to the negligence, and i'm be curious to see how they would have handled additional damage (would they have paid for the additional damage since the work was not done correctly?.
As a final note, the only dissatisfaction i had was during the report of the first failure. Note: this company offers a lifetime warranty on their work. When i called after the initial work failed, i was told it would be weeks before they could get me an appointment with someone to come back. If my basement would have been flooded, i probably would not have done business again with them. To their credit, they did return my call with a return date that was within a few days of my initial call, but i would think that if their work has failed, that they would be able to respond in a much quicker way. That would be my only suggestion to them going forward. I was assured by the second installation team that i could call them directly for any problems that occurred, but personnel change constantly in this business, so you must be able to count on the main contact number for support.
This is a 4 and not a 5 because the original installation crew did not do the job correctly. The second visit (resulting in additional water damage) was done correctly. The second time around the installer would recieve a 5.
Company seemed to have a tiered approach to my specific issue. many other companies wanted to immediately try to "swat a fly with a sledgehammer". Time will tell , but i don't think the sledgehammer approach was needed in my particular case.
