But it’s important to understand that our approach to warranties is different from that of most companies.
With most warranties - your car’s, for instance - it’s a race against time as to whether the problems that inevitably occur will happen during the warranted period. Mudjacking companies typically don’t offer any kind of warranty. This is mostly due to the nature of mudjacking itself. Because the material used for mudjacking typically consists of a slurry of dirt and gravel weighing thousands of pounds, it can actually make soil problems worse over time, causing the slabs above it to sink once again.
In addition to excess moisture causing problems, sometimes drought can cause the soil beneath the concrete to shrink and voids to form. But the sudden inrush of wet, sloppy mudjacking slurry can cause the same problems in these cases that they do with excessively wet or compacted soils. So, mudjacking companies usually won’t guarantee the work they do.
